I researched Japanese photographer Rinko Kawauchi. She was born in Japan in 1972 and graduated from the Seian University of Art and Design in 1993. She received the Eminent Infinity Award in 2009 in the Arts Category by the International Center of Photography. In 2002 she was awarded prestigious 27th Kimura Ihei Award for UTATANE and HANABI. She has a simplistic style and she enjoys portraits and still life photography.
Kawauchi's work is described as simplistic. She takes normal everyday objects and turns them into something spectacular. She makes you look at things differently. Kawauchi's portraits well very simplistic, do tell a story. She has the model posed in a way to tell her story. She also does work with light photography and nature.
